    You might also use rivets like these.

    I decided on the screws, they were easier than the rivets, I peened the ends of the screws so they won't come loose.

    Reviving an old thread to say: I'm having a similar problem, and would love to fix my Super D. The eye sore that is the broken strap gets to me
    I tried brettunsvillage's TH-16 strap and it was quite large compared to the original strap- the brass brackets also didn't match the chrome finish. If anyone has a commonly available recommendation I'd love to hear

    Look for a Saddle shop and pay way more for custom

    I prefer Mexican Saddle Shops as they are excellent

    A good one in Chicago, but it's walk in for custom

    I braided / tied a lanyard it into the holes that were left from the removed strap ends. I did it in the 90s and it's still working fine. I did the same thing with my Delmar...
