    Pyrocat HD dilution

    Hi,

I am using Fuji HD-M (X-Ray) 5x7 sheets in my Plaubel Peco Profia.
My beloved developer is Pyrocat HD.
In standard dilution (1+1+100) the time for developing is around 6 min.
But there is not much space for N- developing, what I often need.

So my thought is to make a dilution of 1+1+200 and take the double time for N developing.

Has any body experience with this?
What will be the minimum amount of developer per sheet (it is told to take 50 to 75 ml ready
for use developer per 4x5 sheet) ?
When diluted 1+1+200, have I to take 150 ml per 4x5 sheet ?

Thank you so much in forehand,
    Horst Schmier.

    With X-ray single and double-sided, I use a very dilute solution of Pyrocat-HD: 5ml + 5ml + 1000ml water. 21C. Tray. One shot, per sheet.

You don't indicate your total volume. All you need to do is double the amount of water and use the total volume for processing. This guarantees sufficient developer so that it will not exhaust prior to developing your film.

Thank you so much for your helpful advises.
There is a question left : What would you say about developing time when dilution is 1+1+200 .... double time ?

I use Formulary Exactol Lux at 1:1:100 for 9min at 75deg F for roll film and 1:1:200 for 13min for sheet film. I would try increasing your time by 50 percent. Please test for yourself before developing anything critical.
    I hope this helps.

Probably a little less than double the time. Testing is in order.

You won't get any definitive answers, so best to test yourself. The stuff is dirt cheap, too.

    Hi,

today I have developed two sheets Fuji HD-M in Pyrocat HD (1+1+200), 20 grd C, 12 Min.
This seems to be a good point to start with.

    Thanks again for all advises.

    Greetings,
    Horst Schmier.
