    Iceland

I'm headed to Iceland in November for a few days and taking along my 4x5. For those of you who have been there do you think a 90mm is wide enough for some landscapes or should I pack a 65mm as well (trying to pack light)

Landscape in Iceland is typically wide open, so for most shots the 90mm will do. Nevertheless I personally would bring the 65mm (or my 47mm), just in case for the one shot where it may be needed. Iceland is a very unique landscape and it would be bad just to miss that one opportunity.

    Greetings, Thomas

Wow, Iceland is becoming the new Yosemite, even some of the local South Island geese are leading a tour there.

Don't leave equipment you might need behind. Just hump it along.

Bring LONG lenses. I used my long lenses more than my short ones when I was there. And I know I'll do the same when I return(hopefully next year). Maybe that's just me, but just be prepared. And bring rain gear.

So far I'm bringing my 90, 150 and 240. Was going to leave the 65 here but might take it now.

I also have a 300 that I had no plans to take.

    So if I take everything it will be a 65, 90, 150, 240 and 300

That is good to know. I hope to go there next spring but taking my Hasselblad rather than LF. I had already decided to take the 250 rather than the 150 for the longer reach and the 150 is so close to the 100mm. My only decision left is whether to take my wife's SWC for wider than my 60.

    Re: Iceland

I went with a 90 and a 150, right after I'd gotten my first 4x5. I definitely used the 150 the most and wished I'd had a 300, but the 90 was indispensable as well.

Iceland can be very windy so you should have a plan or two of how you'll deal with it. I brought my Mamiya 7 gear on my first (and so far only) visit and was glad I did. LF would have been much more challenging on that trip.
