    Re: Pricktorialism

Hi Ritchie, you are right, I started this thread to be about cactus taken with soft focus. It's just that the blooms appear for a very short time, so I have to grab shots with what camera I have. These last were with a 1950 Nikkor 50/1.4, which can be a little soft wide open. But it was too bright for wide open.

Here is one I just took by dawn's early light, with a Kern 25mm 1.5 lens, more Pictorial to me. I'll get the Dallmeyer tiny Petzval out next, and I'll try again soon!

Fortunately my cactus blossoms raise and stay for many days, so hopefully I can deliver one or two pricklepics next time :-)

Sometimes the language barrier can make for interesting threads. Considering the title, it could get more interesting yet.

Translating sometimes is prickly to me :-)
Some minutes ago, I made some experiments with my Sony, and the 90mm Makro Tamrom combined with a tiny meniscus:

Trying out a 1930 Hektor 50mm 2.5 Leica lens. Nice lighting in the yard this afternoon.
