With the rising cost of film and the many fine examples posted in this thread, I figured it's time to try Fomapan 100.

What dev time did you settle on for the Fomapan in D23 and was it rotary processing ?

I do inversion development with a DIY agitation machine, AgOmatic II, in a daylight tank much like you would with 120 roll film. In fact most D-76, 120 roll development times are very good starting points with my sheet film setup using D-23. So I looked around and decided on 10:00 @ 21ºC/70ºF for a 1:1 dilution using an Ilford agitation profile.

My first tank I shot some grey cards placed at Zone 1, 5 and Zone 8 plus a shot of the backyard foliage metered at EI 100. First results were good. Zone 1 came in at a density of 0.08/0.09, zone 5 at 0.65/0.68 and zone 8 at 1.28. I target a diffusion enlarger density range. The posted picture is my second tank also at 10:00 per above. So I'm using that for now. I hope that's helpful.

Thanks, very helpful indeed. I was interested in D23 because I have never used it with Fomapan but looking at this I might now give it a try

The link shows a picture of a double 120 roll film tank. I have an adapter that holds both a HP CombiPlan T tank and a Stearman Press SP-445 tank that I use. AgOmatic has a stepper motor in it. I can program all kinds of agitation profiles.
