What type of flash sync is this

My shutter has a nipple which seems to be where I would connect a flash sync cable to but its not a standard PC sync port. Does anyone know what type of cable this is called?

It also has the solenoid which I believe can use a bipost connection which is somewhat hard to make work with modern flashguns.

Kodak ASA fitting. Haven't seen one of those in ages! http://www.jollinger.com/photo/artic...onnectors.html

I don't remember seeing them on anything other than Supermatic shutters and Kodak cameras. I'm sure there's an adapter somewhere, and Paramount probably sells whatever cord you need for this. http://www.paramountcords.com/
Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:

Is there any way to convert either of these two to PC sync? Thanks for the reference material.

One used to be able to find old Kodak bulb flash units around with a lead with that fitting... I would buy those for a buck or something then clip off the wire lead to graft onto other PC cords..

Kodak Stereo cameras have that flash connection as well

Early Polaroid cameras used it also.
