Having attempted hosta leaves a few times with my 210 (on a Tachihara with about 14" bellows), I have gained a healthy appreciation adn respect for the challenges of composing a subject like this and including so many elements in the composition with corner-to-corner success. Bravo! Any who migth imagine this to be easy, or that you (adn others) just happen to find a perfect subjects, should try it.

    Nikkor-M 300mm + Nikon 4T (an experiment), TMax400, 1/125 at f16. Canham with 4x5 back.

I took a couple more shots at f22 and f32 and the DOF was of course better but the light had changed, strong brightness in the top right corner causing some veiling flare. This after days of waiting for the wind to drop, with the fern opening out more day by day. The next day it had opened. Dang this photography business is fickle!

(Note to self - should have cleaned the image up a bit in PS).

    Nikkor-M 300mm + Nikon 4T = more of the same experiment. TMax400, 4 seconds at f64. Canham with 4x5 back.

Very light crop due to about 3/8" of developing weirdness (or a very minor light leak) up the left hand side.

I hope this isn't straying too far into macro territory. I've enjoyed using the 4T (and 6T) on 35mm and hey! the Nikkor-M 300mm has a 52mm filter thread...
