A small number of the 120mm S-Planar were made in aperture barrel or shutter.

At infinity the lens covers 6x9cm, I guess ~115mm, at 1:1 you get the double of it, ~230mm
You must take care that the ratio is large enough, here I used 1:2 and I donīt have had a reserve for movements.

The S-Planar lenses can be use in a ratio up to 2:1 without a reduced visible optical quality.
I guess it is a semi symmetrical design, especially made for this work.

Dennis Ritchie passed away about a week after Steve Jobs on 12 October 2011. He was a computer scientist and I would say his contribution to the computer industry as a whole was very significant.

That was a blast from the past. I still have the 1st edition of that book. I spent a few nights struggling with the chapter on pointers.
