Auzoux & Cie Petzval lens information~

    Dear fellows,
There are only few words expressed on LCVM.
Auzoux et Cie, France. They are noted for a Grand Angulaire (Wide Angle) No C at Nr 13,47x with disk stops on a Goldman (Wien) 18x24cm camera. (This seems to be a repeat of the Arnoux data and needs to be clarified.)
I'd also searched on LFF. There are only one thread mentioned Auzoux lens but it's not Petzval.
I am luckily holding such lens now.
    I'd checked it.
    It's a Petzval lens.
Please share your knowledge about the lens if you knew or had the lens(es).
    Thanks~

I don't have access to Corrado's book at my current southerly location, But I think it is mentioned as a smaller producer , late in the 19th century. Isn't it Anzoux - I have seen them offered before. Rather "gothic" style engraving - like "Francais".

    Thank you, dear Steven,
It's not Anzoux according to the spelling.

There is some info here (LFPF) about a "relationship" between Auzoux and Francais, which could explain the distinctive mutual engraving styles they have.

I have one of their lenses. My notes from a few years ago said "early maker." Rudolph Kingslake's book lists them among the early ones. I remember it was hard to find information on them. It looks like this book now has a little on them, but it's hard to read online, and in French: http://www.lereve-edition.fr/fr/doss...sier-collector

    It's not too early brand.
From around 1863 to 1866 lenses has the name "Auzoux & Français"; around 1867 under the name "Auzoux" or "Auzoux & Bauz"; and from 1867 to 1880 lens engraved with "Auzoux & Cie". Always engraved on gothic font.
They made Petzval portrait lenses, stereo Petzval pairs, wide angle with Globe formule, and rectilinears among others.
I will add some pics of mine, a huge Petzval.

    Thank you, guys.
This one's size is almost same as Dallmeyer 3B's.
