    I don't know what you mean by "regular" light. A colorhead, an opal bulb with condensers? There are probably thousands of discussions over the years over this
    subject. But virtually any light source can be diffused if needed. Otherwise, cold lights are pretty compact, if not particularly consistent in light output. You need
    some way to measure the actual light being emitted, not just the time.
