    Locating 13x18cm film online

I find it terribly difficult to find ilford hp5+ film on online retailers in europe.
There are some that have it listed but they dont bother to answer my emails.
Even when i have ordered them. Could anyone recommend a store that still
    has hp5+ or fp4+ in 13x18cm format.

13x18 film is getting ever more difficult to find. Ilford films are (temporarily, I hope) getting difficult to find, too. The combination seems to be just about impossible. Fotoimpex lists EFKE PL100 in 13x18, as well as Fomapan 100, Classic 200, and the new Rollei R3. But no Ilford, neither 13x18 or 5x7".

If you can use 5x7" film, that is a lot easier to find. If not, I suggest you ask again on www.grossformatfotografie.de which is a German-language LF forum.

    Jan,

if German is not a big problem, try http://ppl.de

Here is a shortcut to their Ilford offers: http://shop.ppl.de/index.php4?c=005&cN=Ilford&o1=017&o1N=Filme&o2=172&o2N=Schwarz%2FWeiss

    Another source is http://www.phototec.de

    Thanks Ole and Thilo,
I have tried the ppl.de shop but they dont seem to be answering my emails.
I sent it in english tho, i cant write any good german anyway, only read a little bit.
They seem to have good prices and selection.
Phototec has higher prices, but i will try it if it doesnt work out with the ppl.de.
I wish there was 320TXP in 13x18cm, but i cant see that happening, but they still
    make it in 5x7"?
Maybe when i have the 5x7 holders, i might try ordering from usa. I am just starting this
LF stuff. I bought a 5x7" Sinar F2, and have few good lenses but cant find the film i would like to use .

    Jan,

Note that phototec prices include VAT. if you do have a Tax-ID or live outside the Euro Currency Community, you may take 16% off.

They may not answer emails immediately, but I'm sure they will reply. For larger quantities, alsways ask for special quotes.

    Good luck.

www.Filmart.de have quite a lot of 13x18 films in their pricelist. They did once send me an open box of Portra 4x5, but handled it well and I'd order from them again. Only German on the phone, but they coped with my faxes in English.

Otherwise, I'd second the recommendation to get some 5x7 filmholders, as 5x7 seems to be holding up amoung amateurs at least in the UK and the USA. They tend to go quite cheaply on eBay.de and eBay.uk if you want to get a couple to play with. With the US Rouble, ahem, Dollar, so low it makes sense to order from there, but UK suppliers like Silverprint or, if you like the older emulsions, Retro Photographic are reliable and you won't get dunned for VAT collection fees by the post office.
