    First Chamonix 045F1 outing

Today I went out with my new to me Chamonix 045F1 for the first time. It was really great! Lightweight, easy to set up and pack up. The GG seems to be considerably brighter than my Sinar F2 and so easier to focus. I could actually see traveling with this camera!
So far I am really happy with my decision to get this camera.

The Chamonix 045n might be my own favorite camera to use.

I am not sure why but the GG seems much brighter on the Chamonix than on my Sinar F2???? This makes it quicker and easier to focus.

Maybe your Sinar doesn't have a Fresnel lens. Were you shooting with a wide angle lens?

My Chamonix does not have a fresnel. Even though I wear glasses I have been able to focus the Chamonix a couple of times without using a loop and even once or twice without a dark cloth! Don't get me wrong...my Sinar is a wonderful piece of gear but I am just commenting on my first experiences with the Chamonix 045F1. It is light, portable and fun to use.
