Very good start, Jay
Fantastic start indeed. That's stunning Jay

That is fantastic, well done. Great tones and perfect placement of the focus plane.

I have a few technical issues here, most notably the way I didn't handle his glasses, but because of
the subject, Don Flesch, the owner of Central Camera here in Chicago, I'm going to put this one up, anyway.
We took a walk around the block Friday, and my shop is just up the street, at the next intersection, so . . .
For those of you who haven't met him, Don is irrepressibly cheerful. I've been going to his store since I
hit chicago in 1984. We are both the same age, so we were both young back then.
Hoping for a scanner for Christmas, a V850, if Santa is watching. :-) My Nikon D300 doesn't cut it for 8x10 negs.

Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:

I had a visit from my 20 year old grandson a couple of days after cataract surgery. He was pocking fun at my new shades. Later I talked him into allowing me to photograph him with a lens I had just mounted on my Kodak full plate camera. The lens is a 16” Helia I just obtained, shot at F4.5.
