"The Strickland Cotton Mill: A Retrospective" Photography Exhibition - Valdosta GA

I'd like to officially announce here on the LFPF the opening of this show, presented by me and my good friend Sally.

    What:
A series of photographs documenting the Strickland Cotton Mill, built in 1899, as it stood in 2012 and throughout the next two years as it was torn down.

    When:
The Opening Reception is Monday, November 3rd, 2014, from 5pm - 7pm. The show will be up for about two months.

    Where:
The show will be at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts.
For more information about the gallery/show, click HERE and HERE.

Many of you might have seen some of these images posted in the Image Sharing forum or on my blog. Most of my images were made with various 4x5 and other LF cameras, with a smattering of other formats/digital, and my prints are a variety of both inkjet and traditional silver.

If any of you happen to be nearby, I would love to see/meet you there. I know I live pretty far away from most of the forum membership, but you all will be with me in spirit!

    Thanks!

Bryan, just to be clear, the reception is Monday the 3rd even though the Turner Gallery is closed Mondays.
Will try to attend after some shooting at Banks Lake.

    That is correct.
I believe all their openings are on Monday, possibly by design (finish hanging / preparing the show while "closed").

Please come say hi if you make it!

Bryan- I saw your exhibit when I was in town last Wednesday. It's very good, and the Turner Center is a nice facility. I noticed your images were really wide; what lens did you use?

    Thank you!!

Several shots were with my 47mm XL, one with a 75mm Biogon, and a ton of images were made with a 90mm Nikkor (my most used lens overall). If you'd like more info on any image specifically, let me know...every film image was on 4x5, and one 8x10.
