Needed : TIME-O-LITE user's manual with the MONITOR model

I search online for the user manual of the TIME-O-LITE MONITOR.
I see a reference on KEH website for a user manual that included all models https://www.keh.com/221565/darkroom-...r-instructions but seems to be not available for sale.
Do someone have this manual? I cannot found online and even from those who are selling it, like KBH here in Canada have a version that didn't included the Monitor model.
    Thanks

Little bump for my request. Someone have this user's manual, including the MONITOR model?

    Hello,

I am also looking for information about the Time-O-Lite monitor. It is a dimmer/voltage regulator/rheostat. I want to sue it for a non-photographic purpose - to control the amount of voltage that goes into a large 6V/12Vbattery charger. Knowing anything about its design would be helpful. Any actual documentation would be extraordinarily helpful.

In the darkroom I use it to dim a safelight above the developer tray, a trivial use for this device. Controlling the power going into the battery charger may not be a trivial application. The charger ( Schumaker SE-4022) is capable of 2-200 amps DC output. I normally use the battery charger to power an electrolysis tank at either the 2 amp or 10 amp setting. I want to use the Time-O-Lite Monitor to reduce the amount of voltage going into the battery charger in order to gain better control over the current that flows out of the charger.

    Thanks!

You will discover this is a simple wire-wrapped rheostat as described in this Wikipedia article.

I would use it for incandescent light bulb dimming. I have one and had tried on one occasion to use it to dim a photoflood to copy prints. But that made me nervous so I started looking for another solution to control copy lighting.

Look at the picture of "A high power wirewound potentiometer."

Your unit seems to have been modified.
    Mine is below.
Link to KEH is now broken. As I remember the manual that include the Monitor model is plain cover in a pale pink.
The manual available from KHB didn't list the Monitor model http://store.khbphotografix.com/Inst...om-Timers.html This one is probably more recent than the other.

I've figured out what's going on. The voltage meter on your unit broke...somebody just spliced in another voltage meter from something else.

Newbie here. I've been trying for a few days now to understand the difference between a rheostat and a potentiometer but to no avail. I've tried to read about it on Wikipedia and even this article with a video about rheostats https://www.derf.com/rheostat-overvi...o-explanation/ but they don't really explain the difference in layman's terms.. Too many long words Could somebody here please explain the difference like I'm 5? Any and all help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Same thing. Two words for the same thing. But it’s different than the ones you might be used to seeing. instead of a wiper moving in a circle on a disc of carbon... the monitor is high power and built like mentioned “ resistance wire wound around a semicircular insulator, with the wiper sliding from one turn of the wire to the next. ”
