My Tachi is a base tilt camera (front and back) and an axial tilt camera (front and back).

That is, I convert the camera from base tilts, to axial tilts, by turning the camera on its side (90º) on a sturdy tripod – in my case, a Ries J600 tripod + J250 head. In other words, what had been front/back swings are now front/back axial tilts.

The upshot – deciding when to use tilt and swing is one challenge; deciding the best "type" of tilt and swing is another.
