Experience with 11x14 Holders from Filip Habart from Prague?

    Hello!

Does anybody want to share with me his experience of the custom made wooden holders from Filip Habart? He is located in Prague making it very interesting for Europeans.

    Many thanks

Really? Couln't find it. I found a generic reference to him regarding a custom back, but no quality/experience faadback of the holders. Maybe you can share the link with me.

    Cheers

I would avoid this person, lies. Do not reply emails.

Shipped me a camera back & holder. Arrived ground glass broken. Holder was also broken.

Does not reply emails, few times replied. False promises & lies. "tommorrow".

Originally shipped the camera back over month late from payment & what was agreed, even though he had it ready & packed.

I just had a very bad experience with Filip Habart.
Last September I asked him (via email) to make me a 14x17 double film holder and a back for a camera.
He agreed, gave me a price and told me I would take 10 days to make the parts.
    I paid him a 50% deposit.
I gave him plenty of time; several months more than the timeframe that he suggested.
He strung me along with various excuses and then just stopped responding to my communication.
Now, it’s almost January, and he finally replied with a one line email saying he had sent me the order…not possible as I never even gave him an address.
So basically, he stole the deposit, over €300, which I absolutely cannot afford.
I don’t know why he chose to just defraud me rather than just take my business. I would have happily paid him the remainder had he just made that parts I asked for.
Anyway, my advice is to avoid Filip Habart like the plague.
