Rob Gray (GRAYnomad) - great images...and bravo to you for cutting the cord all those years ago and hitting the road!
You and I must be close in age (I'm also a '54) - and while I feel I've been blessed in many ways and truly have no complaints...reading of your adventures does make me want to set my own clock back a bit!
...and I love your "wothahellizat" overland vehicle! Keep on truckin'!

Thanks John.
Yes as you have obviously read we sold everything way back in 2000 and hit the road. Best thing we ever did. We've dropped anchor these days but I'm building a camper and resurrecting my LF gear as we speak, so I'm now looking forward to more travelling and photography. It's never too late to follow a dream.
For those who don't know, Wothahellizat is my RV I built several years ago

Great to hear about your LF resurrection!...which begs an obvious question - will you outfit your overland cruiser with some kind of darkroom capacity? Just wondering!
No, there won't be a darkroom. In that earlier life I was shooting LF before and after we hit the road. When our houses sold I lost my darkroom so I switched to Portra (even though I considered myself to be a B&W photographer) so I could have film C41 processed in any camera store I found in the next town.
This time I do plan to process film myself when at home, I'll have a room that can be made dark (only at night probably), but not a darkroom. But when on the road I'll either leave it until I get back (max 2-3 month trips) or get some processed along the way or both. I will probably get one of those popup change tents, I hate change bags, especially when it's hot and humid.
