    Question Positive processes?

Hi, I don't know whether this is the right place to ask, but what processes other than daguerreotype and collodion can yield a positive image on a see-through surface (glass plate in this case)?

I am looking to probably experiment with printmaking techniques that require a positive image, and am reluctant in converting my images in digital to positives and printing them on acetates.

Also is it possible to successfully re-photograph a 5x4 negative onto a new piece of film to get a positive? Have any of you done this before?

Sorry if it is the wrong place to ask, I just didn't know where to start from.

    Rado.

B&W reversal will give what you want it came into common use for Colour processing of additive plates like Autochrome but later gets used for slides.

You can make contact positives film to film but you are best with very slow orthochromatic emulsions so you can develop with a safe light.

Thank you for the replies. I will look into these as potential options for my photographs.
