DIY Nitrogen Burst?

I have a working nitrogen burst timer and a plethora of 4x5 Kodak film hangers. I am thinking of building a system, but don't know quite how to proceed. The tanks are easy—PVC is my friend. How do I make a plenum to distribute the gas? What size tubing should I use with what size holes, and how should the holes be distributed? I assume a simple U-shaped plenum will work? Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I'm watching with interest. I gave up on tanks because I couldn't consistently develop without surge marks. Right now I develop in trays and get even development but deal with scrateches instead. I have been told that nitrogen burst is capable of giving even development with hangers which would be the best of all worlds.

Yes and No, finding the right balance is an art , bad nitrogen burst and you are putting your film at risk.
I would google calument nitrogen burst systems , they made fantastic baskets for this exact purpose.

I also think I may have a hanger holder that is made for nitrogen burst, if so I will pass it on to you Richard, I use the kodak method of agitation for sheet film and roll film when I am not using the Jobo.

P.S. Kodak publication gives all the info on burst timing, plenum specs ie tubing size, hole size and spacing.
