    Hi from Portugal

    Hi guys

My name is Bruno and im from Portugal.
Ive been shooting medium format ( film with Mamiya Rz67 and digital with Mamiya 645 ), but since ever i had the will to try LF and yesterday was the day!!

Actually I didnt try it but i bought a Wista M450 with a Nikkor 90mm f/8 and im very excited. I had the opportunity to buy some film holders ( 4x5 and 9x12 ), and film of course. So this weekend will be my first try on this new world.

My main photography is LandScape and Portraits/People

Hope to learn tones of tips and knowledge with you guys.

    Cheers

ps- any tips for this particularly setup? And yes, im a very patient guy

    Hi Bruno,
Welcome abord and congratulations for your LF acquisition - a wonderful camera and lens!
I have never used one of those, but as far as I know it is not one of the lightest 5x4 to lug around, but it certainly is robust.
As for tips, it is hard to give any without specific questions. Place them and you will what a great community this is .

Is there any store who is specializing in large format here in portugal? j valles is expensive and as usual in portugal in camera stores a bit uptight, in porto there is cameras and company but not very complete...

besides that, do you know anyone here that sells process lenses? i am looking for a 900 to 1100 mm

    Hi Rui,

Don´t know any specialized store in Portugal, at least in Lisbon.
I bought the combo on a store, but he sells all kind of equipment related to photography and video. Old stuff mainly.
Don´t know if he has any process lenses, but you can try speak to him:

    Pedro Hespanha
    Rua Diogo do Couto, 41 e 43 1100 - 195 Lisboa
    telefone : 21 813 3686 email: photographica.info@gmail.com
    Latitude: 38°43'2.61"N - Longitude: 9° 7'17.99"W

And yes, JValles is expensive and they don´t have much equipment regarding Large Format

    Cheers
