Obtain two pieces of picture framing glass cut to size and some 600 grit carborundum from a rock polishing store. Place a pinch of carborundum along with 1/2 tsp water on one of the pieces of glass. Place the other piece on top and rotate it in a random fashion. 3-5 minutes and you have two replacement ground glass.

If you are experienced with viewing the ground glass and have a good dark cloth, i sometimes use a piece of non-glare framing glass. Some can not see the image with this.
