First post and a bunch of strange looking links - I think I'll pass. Sorry, but you might want to introduce yourself a little better, or everyone will be afraid the links are Malware or otherwise spam.

I'd suggest writing up some details from the listing here, or, like Garrett, I won't go near those links. They just don't look right...

    Here's the ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-BRAS...item4d1821362a

It's just a little Busch Rathenow Aplanat (aka Rapid Rectilinear) in a brass pneumatic shutter. The focal length is 6 1/2 inches, so maybe 4x5 coverage at best...

For the skeptics, go to the big auction site and search using item number: 331117311530

I found it by searching for 'aplanet'.

I'll stay aside and not push the price up as it appears unsuitable for 8 x 10. It looks to be a pleasant wonder is working as described.

    yes, covering 8 x 10 is unlikely

4 x 5 definitely and also either element can be used solely when longer focal lengths will be obtained, plus larger formats too

Busch had a history of using American shutters and made a well selling casket set with the B&L Unicum.

These shutter are not particularly accurate after 100 years.
