Along with a 200mm Imagon I bought today, I received a 4-page booklet - "Introducing the Rodenstock Imagon" written by Joseph Foldes and published by Rodenstock. It has no photos, only text. I will scan it and post here in a day or two.

Availlable on the internet. This is a scan of my copy that I sent them maybe 10 years ago. https://www.cameraeccentric.com/stat...s/imagon_1.pdf

I think you may have copied and pasted the link in your browser. If you click the link you'll be taken to the pdf. In any case, it is the same booklet as I posted above, except for one additional page that states that in future Rodenstock will supply an ND filter instead of the yellow-green filter that was supplied until that time.

    Hello from the future!

Found this thread as I have a couple of Imagons now. An interesting discussion, with much of the typical responses.

Regarding the 200mm f/5.8 on 4x5...well how about 5x7?? Yes, it covers, even if not "optimally and by design." Here's a shot on 5x7 x-ray film:

I'm not likely to shoot many portraits, so I'll be giving the 200mm and 250mm a go on various landscapes, and on 6x7 medium format up to 5x7 as needed.

    Re: The Imagon 200 5.8 for 4x5?

I've been told lenses that I have don't cover various formats and they seem to work fine for me and what I use them for. sometimes manufacturers and lens data &c is for optimal everything (which might not be necessary), unfortunately there are alway people who just stick the lens on a camera and use it.. I remember a handful of years ago when people were putting lenses that didn't cover 4x5 or whatever on the camera to get nauseating "swirling" which some people apparently love.
im sure the manufacturer didn't intend for swirls or they would have included dramamine with every lens sold but people did it anyways.
