Jason, I worked in the stevedoring industry for over 23 years until I retired at the end of 2018. Equipment used on the docks certainly seems to be the inspiration in some of the Star Wars movies. The Super Panamax container cranes in your photo do look a little like At-Ats.

    That's quite something, Darr!

+1...I'm going to have to study this one for a while--the depth in the frame is just mesmerizing. (I'm jealous of that stand of longleaf pine in the background as well...quite the Greek chorus.)

    Thank you CB!

I was a bit anxious taking the shot, as there was a pretty large alligator nearby under a thatch of trees taking a snooze. The only thing between him and I was about 50 feet and my van which blocked his view so I had to look every once in a while to make sure he was not coming from under my van. A little anxious since I have missed a gator before in the muck about 10 feet from my feet! But I really enjoy the marsh and all the nature it nurtures.

    Kind regards,
    Darr

Ha, I've had black bears in my back pocket but I think I'll leave the crocodilians to you and Bryan. At any rate, the camera lens seems to unfurl land, sky and water in a unique way down in your part of the world--probably the work of several lifetimes to explore it all.
