Thank you for the kind words Alan. I truly enjoy exploring the Arizona countryside with my Hasselblad. This is a remnant of the Old US Highway 80 Bridge at Rainbow Wash south of the Gillespie Dam - about 20 miles north of Gila Bend. The main span was washed away in the 1993 flood that breached Gillespie Dam. Only this approach on the north side of Rainbow Wash remains.

Shot this a week ago, at 'Bowmans Island,' part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area below Buford Dam / Lake Lanier. I visited this place about a decade ago but forgot it existed - it's kind of hidden in the Army Corp of Engineers "park" around the dam. It's quite a unique little section along the Chattahoochee River which is subject to constantly changing water levels due to release of water from the dam.

As a side note, the Chattahoochee River's "source" is along the Appalachian Trail, right near the next bit I need to hike. That river is one of the important rivers that flows down to Florida, combining with the Flint to form the Apalachicola River. Georgia and Florida are in a legal battle over water rights and usage right now, so I think it makes an interesting photographic subject that I should really explore more in depth.

    Love the bridge/dam photos Jeff!

This is late October. Had to scan my fall film before I start scanning winter photos.

Nice, I see the trees are finally losing leaves down there.

As a side note, back in the 80s I was researching material for a report. I got side tracked on this article about water usage and the future. It noted the dropping water tables back then and how many states have water as a border. And so many water usage agreements are based on there is plenty for everyone. But it predicted that will all change and States will be battling it out.
