    I would never have guessed that a photo of fireworks would look so good in black and white. Super shot tuco.

    First shot with Zeiss Nettar/HP-4+, Picked up the little folder for low bucks, it's a keeper.

    Thanks. I thought this was a good scene for the Noblex. I didn't use a filter. The light was very harsh and I didn't want to boost the contrast any more. As it is, I underexposed the neg a bit. My thinking at the time was that I wanted the house to be as dark as possible while still retaining a little detail, but I think I overdid it a tad. If I could do it again (a familiar refrain), I would have given it a fuller exposure and then darkened just the house in printing. That might have better given the picture the cruel, blasted-out, white-light quality I imagined in my head. So it goes...
