Thanks Randy. It was Pan F, which for me is either great or extremely problematic. For example, I don't know what's going on here, the sky is full of crap. I'm very bummed. This time it was Pyrocat with normal agitation. The FP4 I developed at the same time was fine.

It's a nice photo. As for that "sky crap" I get it every once and a while too and am still trying to troubleshoot it as I too find it on some rolls but not others from the same development canister.

Well you are probably right, insofar as the alternatives -- for me, FP4 and ACROS -- are good. But there is a look to the PanF that I like, a smooth transition between tones.

Me too. Love Pan F. And I've not had that exclusively with only Pan F. Less so now that I used a Jobo 2553 canister and a reversing motor with constant agitation but not eliminated entirely.

I like the unusual composition of the second one, with foreground elements in focus and pointing to a mysterious mid-distance structure. Maybe it could even take more vignetting in the printing to capture the viewers eye toward the barn (I think you did some already?) Nice work.

Thank you Randy. Now back to an airplane-related image. This is a low pressure turbine from an Allison T56-A1 turboprop engine - once used on a Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport. This is my first time using Ilford PanF 50 film. It is definitely different from the Fuji Acros 100 I typically use. While more testing is required, I think I like it. Trying different types of film is so much fun, it causes me to think I could easily become a film whore
