Thank you Michael. I'm sorry to hear about your fall. I understand the long-lasting effects of such an accident - my dad broke his back when I was young and he still gets bedridden occasionally from pain. I hope you continue to recover.

Yes, it does. Say, what is the aspect ratio of your 6x14? After experiencing the 3:1 on my 6x17, I'm finding I'd like the cinema scope 2.39:1 aspect with a 75mm on a helicoid would be more ideal for other things than nature and landscape that I've been trying.
I'll let Pali talk about the camera, but perhaps his thread in the Lounge subforum would be best for discussing.
Here's two more images. One thing about a fixed-focus camera is you can get way down in the water and not worry about focusing or whatever. For first image, the camera was only a couple inches above the water. I used a 6x17 viewfinder to frame these, knowing they would be cropped in a bit from the side.
I started with 3:1 (6x17) years ago with a Fuji G617 camera, and found it was often too wide for too many situations.
I graduated to a Fotoman 6x17 because it offered interchangeable lenses.
But it was still too wide for most of my (revised) wide format taste.
I found that I really preferred the 2.5:1 format after I began shooting with my 8x20" Canham.
Sooooo.... I modified my 6x17 Fotoman to a true 2.5:1 format (6x2.5=6x15).

Okay, thanks. But that doesn't look like it will help on a GX617. It's a fixed, four-cranks on the film advance lever that takes you to the next frame. I'm wondering if a person can 3D print their own adapted 75mm + helicoid lens holder for a GX617 with contact interface and all.
