Dodge Truck in Idaho. I shot this last July and wanted to go back for a winter view, perhaps a trace of snow. Got a full blizzard and temperature that numbed my fingers in just a few moments. Because of the expected cold I shot medium format, instead of LF. This was TriX with yellow filter, scanned from Ilford print. I lightened the snow a little in PS; if I reprint I will just fix that in the enlarger step.

I've been posting a lot of photos from the Gulf Islands National Seashore on the coast of Mississippi, and I've got two more to post. The first is the resident gator that lives in a pond at the head of my favorite trail there. I've never actually photographed him because he is usually just floating with his head on top of the water but this time he was really on display and I luckily had a long telephoto. I shot this with my Nikkor-T 500mm f/11 on my Chamonix, with a 6x12 back:
Speaking of this alligator - back in December when the gov't was closed I saw a local news broadcast about how the shutdown was affecting tourism at the National Park. They interviewed some guy from New Jersey, and it was quite entertaining hearing his thick accent exclaiming "I hear tell of an alligator somewhere in the park" and that he was disappointed he didn't get to see it. I guess these animals are a bit more wild to the northerners .
Also down at the end of that trail is my favorite part of the park. I have shot dozens of images in this one little area of the trail that is just chock full of beautiful scenes. Here's one more:
