Austin - Both of the Mt Hamilton images are really intriguing, one because it invites you to step off the edge, the other because it doesn't try to show the entire mountain.

Here's mine from Rte 12, just east of Dayton. TriX film, yellow filter, scanned from print.

That's a neat image! I'd like to try photographing lightning, but have never really gotten the chance. Do you leave the shutter open, on bulb, and wait or did you "just get lucky?"

Austin, I think a conversation among you, Dave Barry, and Gary Larson would be intriguing.

Ha, my dad turned me on to Gary Larson when I was very young. Maybe it's worked its way into my photography!

Thank you. This was made on night patrol while serving in the Army as battalion photographer in Thailand. Camera was a 6x6 Minolta Autocord, hand-held. Fair to say, luck played a role!

John, your old truck reminds me of Dave's Rescue Trucks in Sprague, WA. If you're ever heading to the Spokane area, check it out if you haven't already.
