Paul B: Very nice composition. Great choice of setting for the still life.

Here's a tree from the Grady Tract. I liked the framing from the background trees. 80mm lens, TriX, no filter.

Why thank you. I think you can say why I use the lens better than I can. The 60mm focal length on the 500C/M was not a popular choice when I purchased mine, IIRC. And being a 'budget' offering, I think that limited the lens appeal even more. But, damn, I got mine cheap and it was like brand new. And after a while I gravitated to using it more than the 50mm I also have.

    Or 6x8 for that matter.

Not for tree huggers! In Longnecker Gardens: 80mm, TriX no filter.

Thanks. Another 65mm focal length used. But this time it's getting a little wider on that Fuji. Yes, that is the Salish Lodge which first opened up in 1916 under a different name. There is also a power plant at the falls.

Wouldn't mind getting this baby on my sawmill. Its wood is gorgeous and even harder than white oak. Would be perfect for contact printing frames!
