    Afghan Box Camera

Really interesting video you might be interested in watching.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18-5xaVfhR8

I posted this up while I was watching and didn't catch the last part of the process until just now.\

What an ingenious idea to take a photograph of the negative to get a positive print!

He already uses the best of the best a LF camera and a contact print. An Ae1 or a digi won't help him since he is a street photographer without electricity or access to an enlarger.

This is how it happened in Portugal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frYqbWiuTZM‎

In Brazil it is very similar tradition.

Last July I was over Porto Alegre on the south of Brazil and had my photo taken by this guy here:
    https://refotografia.wordpress.com/2...-porto-alegre/

Most of the other photographers I've seen in the last 15 years have disappeared.

Along with a collegue Penna Prearo, I came up with a project to recreate a similar camera, use x-ray film and photograph people on the streets here. We ended up inside a travelling art project done by a local institution. Penna had photographed people in their daily life wearing a paper bag over their faces for a long time, since the 90s. We decided to join these two ideas.

Here is the making of https://refotografia.wordpress.com/tag/rxdcc/

And here are the images: http://rxdcc.art.br/

RXDCC stands for Raio-X da Consciência or X-Ray of one's Consciousness
