I just received a 600mm Russian process lens from the Ukraine. I wasn't expecting much and was willing to gamble. I just took a couple of 8x10 landscapes out of the soup and they look great. The negatives are very sharp, great contrast. Out of focus area is nice. I shot at f90 for 1 sec using the lens cap because I didn't have the shutter set up yet. I expected problems with f90 but I can't see any diffraction issues. Maybe I'll see something under an 8x loupe but for now the image is jumping off the negative. I'm happy to have this 600mm lens for under $300.
