    September 2013 Portraits

I was messing about with lights yesterday and shot this of Sofia. I know it is a bit of a cliche, but I enjoyed working it out (most difficult was dealing with flare), and it is very much what I intended. I only wish she was leaning forward some, instead of leaning back into the chair, but I guess I needed that to keep her stable. What I should have done is tilted the camera, and I will surely try that next time. 1/8 second at f8 on HP4. Scan from a print.

Imma sneak this one into September, since it's September where Tim is (). First sheet of film I've burned in, what, six weeks?

The Arista film looks really good, Scott, and it's nice to see a modern lens in your work now.
    Great stuff as usual.

Tim, very nice shot, reminds me of some 70s album cover.

Nope, tilting camera wont work, trust me. You got to get her lean forward - then angles of neck/ jaw would come out right.

I finally made some new images.

OLD (outdated in 1990) polaroid 665 pos/neg film - worked like a charm...

    Painted with light - solarized..

A large format feline portrait that is in focus? Impressive! I couldn't manage a shot like this of my dog and she is sixteen years old.
