Fences & Stone Walls - Post yours !

Picket fences, stone walls and similar "boundaries" provide wonderful photographic subjects, especially in context with their surroundings.

Here's a favorite of mine - comments welcome:

    Camera 4x5 Linhof MT - Symmar 150mm - Polaroid 55/PN - Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Photo taken quite a few years ago and recently scanned.

Barn & Fence - Bucks County Pennsylvania

    Camera 4x5 Linhof MT - Symmar 150mm - Polaroid 55/PN

Scanned the entire negative without cropping. The processing residue contributes to an old look.

Yes, I recalled this image – a fence by Mother Nature, many miles long.

Not the easiest barricade to climb over, but when you drop down on the other side, you have the beach to yourself.

Fellow members from the Pacific NW might recognize those lonely sea-stacks on the horizon.

Heroique, I like this image a lot. The chaos in the forground framing the placid sea in the background tells a nice story of natures incongruities. Looks like a fine set of details could be extracted in the right print.

Thanks Jeff and Nathan, a day out of Robinson Crusoe, typical for this lonely area.

Nathan, the incredibly tight grain of Type 55 is nice indeed for print enlargements & digital crops.

Just for fun, here's a quick example. I scanned the full-frame image at 1500 dpi on my 4990, from which I've taken this crop. The film texture is beginning to appear, but check out those trees on the rocks. An 8x10 or 11x14 print from my Omega D2v + Schneider Componon-S 150mm would look super.

    Heroique,

Very interesting image, enhanced even further by Nate Potter's interpretation !

You are right about the fine grain structure of 55 and it does print / enlarge beautifully when properly exposed. I miss it tremendously.
