I have been using my Super Graphic mostly for instant photos so far. But now I finally got around to trying out 4x5 color film for the first time. I did post a "Polaroid Blue" version of the following shot in the "Polaroids (and Fujiroids)" image sharing thread a while ago. Here now comes the Kodak Ektar 100 version which is rather different:

And this is the second of the two LF photos I took while visiting Bellevue, WA.
Graflex Super Graphic and Schneider Angulon 90mm f/6.8.

Wow, that is really nice. I've only rarely seen a film at night shot where it feels as natural as that one.

Real Bellevue never looked that good! Nice work indeed. I especially like that shot of the 405 freeway--right on the money.

The Super Moon rises over a smokey Lake Lanier in north GA. This was an interesting night - the moon rose unseen due to the thick smoke from wildfires, and then appeared out of the haze as the bloodiest red moon I've ever seen. It got progressively bluer over the 2 hours I shot this.

Nice Bryan. well composed. Things feel well contained and included. I like the dance of moon and trees. and the Bright island (peninsula) lights are a great counter point to the moon and it's reflection. I wish we could see more of the color shift of the moon that you describe, the atmosphere is wonderful and hazy!

Corran, definitely has something going on that appeals to me. The colors, the unusual balance of elements...maybe it's best to not dissect it and just go with the feel of it. Very cool.
BTW, when did you start using a Technika?

Thanks guys! Yes I was hoping for more color in the streak but I suppose it was just too bright for the most part.

Trent, I have a Tech IV and Master Technika. I love them for the precision and shooting handheld but they are heavy so I usually hike with my Chamonix.

Yes it was quite hazy yesterday. I did go out and look for the moon as an afterthought because I forgot about it until it was too late. (I didn't even bring a camera ...)

Re: Show Me Your Night Shots!

Just finished my first box of LF film and finally have most of the quirks worked out.

Took this last night at one of my favorite locations. Always wanted to shoot it at night with film, but it seemed too daunting to get the right exposure and not over do the headlight streaks. Since I've almost completely converted over to LF shooting now, I thought why not dive in headfirst.
