It's where I live - Whidbey Island and its neighbor, Fildalgo island. If you're up this way I can point out a few nice locations.Click image for larger version.

Beautifull part of the world, we try to spend a couple of weeks on our boat in the Gulf Islands every summer. The area is definately one of my favorite costal locations.

    I like Alaska!

I drove down the Oregon coast today for the first time ever. Amazing! Made a few 6x6 images. Hoping to get back with the LF someday soon.

You guys make me envious... Some wonderful images in this thread...
Living in the heart of Europe isn't bad, but all the coasts are just so far away...
Website of sorts, as well as flickr thing.

Maine is said to have 3000+ miles of coastline. It's all in how you measure it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coastline_paradox

I'd love to explore Alaska's coastline, but that's not in the cards right now.

I once drove up the Oregon Coast with the idea of stopping at every park and over-look on the coast. I gave it up less than halfway up...just too many!

New Zealand has about 9,000 miles of coastland (though the figures for coastlines are all over the place, depending on how they are computed). Pretty amazing for such little land area! The same method gives the USA a coastline of about 12,000 miles.
