    Re: HP5+ Processing and EI

Why not try exposing with box rating and develop in accordance with Ilford recommendations first.... and change from there if it doesn't meet your expectations? That might better give you a baseline...

    Re: Loupe Question...

You probably will benefit from greater magnification, and to chose a high quality option is a good idea too. For most of my life I used a really cheap 4x loupe (AGFA or the like) and it worked but...

Unless you are in the ghetto part of ABQ, or Gallup, you won't need a gun. And if you run into a "situation", the gun will likely just make matters worse.

According to a schematic I've seen, the high-low switch puts no power on the circuit when in the neutral position... only when in the low or high position.

Ö and since @xkaes mentions the large diversity of SF filtersÖ if you like the notion itís worth seeking out a variety. I tried out about a dozen and finally found what works best for me: duto,...
  12. Re: Using Hasselblad B60 (Proxar & Softar) on 4x5

I actually encourage you to try the softar. For portraits it’s often useful, especially Softar 1. The others, to me, are a bit too much. But maybe recreating David Hamilton style pics are your thing…...

  15. Re: Baltic or Finnish Baltic Birch for lens boards?

Hi Eli! I use Baltic birch from the local hobby shop and TightBond glue. As you suggest I build Anniversary Graphic boards out of two pieces; it’s easier to build the lips that way. And paint black...

    Re: 4x5 Graflock film backs

I assume that you are referring to Graflex roll film backs. If so, they work just fine in the field. They are a bit bulky but so what? One must be mindful of the dark slide, but so what? The best...
