The US website has flash files.. I think it's out of date by a decade or more. The US address on Google maps appears to have a new storage building being built when the street view was done (after...

It's not critical but I mostly use pyrocat hdc in glycol. 1:1:100. Have also used pmk, tons of d76 1;1 and even well used brown dektol.

Re: Best choice portrait BW film

Tmax 100 sheet film is pretty nice, but it does have a UV blocker in case you intend to make Alt process prints it will be unsuitable.

I'm a fan of tmax400; it does not have that UV block. It has...

    Re: 4x5 B&W development - no processor

The drain/fill is small and slow and I think it might not be suitable for very fast steps like c41 sometimes is, without doing as you suggest. My B&W develop times are 11-14:30 depending on film, so...

I use Combiplan tanks for normal inversion processing.
You could also do tray processing, make drums with sewer pipes, buy an insert for the Patterson, and stearman tanks.
  9. Re: Wollensak 162mm f4.5 Raptar Lens - Image Circle?

Re: Anyone want to diagnose this negative?

We'd need to see a photo of the actual negative on a light box or at a window. Could be a bad scan for all we know.

If it's not a bad scan, I'd say more exposure and less or diluted development.

  15. Re: "Poll" Question: Do you use a footswitch for your enlarger?

Gralab 451. No foot switch. Really I don't do much dodging and burning, and if I do, it's pretty simple stuff that doesn't preclude me from hitting the big fat start button at the base of the 451.

The 190 optar (tessar lenses) for the graflex SLRs are stunning. You'd need a sinar shutter to use them of course.
