    what is the optimal height for the film holder? 3.5mm?

    I raised mine a little higher and man what a difference, I really don't see anything in the manual about it.

    Hopefully the shift mechanism works much better than the Dmax that I ordered back in april of this year, you can tighten the brass thumb screws but it still shifts up and down.
