Re: A Question on Lens Boards & Shutters

  11. Re: Observation on focal length and portrait drawing

Did Bryan. Sorry, after more then 60 years in photography, you are wrong. Photographic perspective changes only with angle.
That is what they taught us in school and it hasnít changed since then.

Re: How was a Kodak Colorama made?

From the mid 40s till the late 60s my father commuted daily to NYC from CT into Grand Central and I frequently went with him. So I saw an awful lot of Coloramas in those days. Some of the same ones...

  14. Re: Observation on focal length and portrait drawing

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Perspective is the relationship between objects in the frame as seen on a 2D-plane, and these relationships inherently depend on their relative distances from the camera...

Get a good one like a Linhof or a Sinar one. Not one of those cheap ones with just a couple of threads.
  18. Re: Observation on focal length and portrait drawing

Sorry, but foreshortening is not perspective. It is only angle that changes perspective.

  25. Re: Observation on focal length and portrait drawing

Distance to lens has absolutely nothing to do with perspective.
Perspective is only changed by the angle of the camera to the subject.
Foreshortening is not perspective. It is an optical effect...
