Very nice. Does Silver Efex 2 have a preset for these tones or do you adjust something else?

    Re: Notched Film Holders, Examples

Fortunately, I have all new holders. Of course, that doesn't help when I shot two exposures of the same thing at different settings and then forgot to remove the dark slide for one of them.

    Re: Notched Film Holders, Examples

Actually, notches would help me even with a lab. Sometimes I take more than one exposure of the same picture, changing exposure, let's say. So the nothces would help me determine which is which...

    Re: Notched Film Holders, Examples

I was just giving an option that some people might find useful besides notches. Notches wouldn't help me because I send my film out to a lab to develop. I'm more interested in keeping track of...

    Re: Notched Film Holders, Examples

Since I use different films at one time, I use this method to label my holders. The Chromalabels are 1/2" in diameter. They self-stick on the holders. But they can be easily removed and replaced...

Re: Kirk Tuck commenting on 4x5 video blog

I cannot have a darkroom so I'm stuck sending film out for developing. But I can still "interpret" the pictures using Lightroom, a digital darkroom.

Re: Strange black blur spots on 4x5 320 Trix

Wearing rubber gloves just doesn't work for me. So, when I load or remove 4x5 film in the holder, I wash my hands first to get all the oils off. Does that help?

    Re: Velvia Discontinued?

I wouldn;t buy 100 any more. Even if you can get it, you may find that the labs won't process it because of the chemical in it that's been banned.

    Re: Meditation on house fans

Electronic flash tends to freeze movement due to their high speed of let's say 1,000th of a second flash or more. It seems that you would want to use continuous ambient light to get blur.
