Re: Which are the fancy lenses??

    Ok interesting. Thanks...
For those who were interested, I'm happily now shooting on an Acra-Swiss F-Line Classic (171). The standard bellows (which I have) is just enough to enable the 90mm lens to...

Re: Which are the fancy lenses??

Ok here’s an example of a fancy lens. What is going on with the Schneider Super-Symmar HM 120mm f/5.6?

This thing costs an arm and a leg yet the Schneider APO-Symmar 120mm f/5.6 is pretty...

    UPDATE:

I am very fortunate in that one of our forum members lives somewhat close to me. He's helped me out on many occasions.

He again helped me out by letting me borrow his 90mm Schneider...

Re: Which are the fancy lenses??

Actually I might go with that 115mm first because it's the widest lens I can use with my bellows. The 90 would require a WA bellows. The 115/150 combo can use the same bellows.

Re: Which are the fancy lenses??

    I have a 150mm now.

    Next 90mm
Then 300mm or 360mm (somewhere in there)
    Then 75mm if I think/want it
    Then 240mm or 210mm if I think/want it

The only curve ball is the 115mm I might throw in...

    Re: Chamonix vs. Xxxxx?

So I don't have a lot of experience here, but if the Arca-Swiss camera has the MicroOrbix then, to me, that's worth the Arca-Swiss, period.

Being able to focus tilt ONCE is Soooo nice. I really...

That’s awesome. That’s exactly how I was hoping it would work. Now I just need the sun to rise and I’ll give it a shot.

Re: Does anyone use GND filters on B&W film?

Yes I have color filters. A yellow #15, Yellow Orange #25? and a Red. I might have the numbers wrong.

I also have a couple GND filters. A 2-stop reverse and a 2-stop soft. I’ve often though the...

Does anyone use GND filters on B&W film?

    Hi all,

Does anyone use Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filters on B&W film?

Iím thinking no, but just wanted to ask. It seems like it would work just fine but Iíve never tried it. Actually...

    Which are the fancy lenses??

    Hi all, Happy New Year.

Question about pretty much all LF lenses. Which are the fancy ones that just seems to cost a bit more or a lot more than others?

Here's an example of what I'm getting...

    Correcting Focus When Stacking Filters

So to put this in 35mm perspective, I shoot with a Nikon D810 and I either have the 18-35mm or the 70-300mm on it. When I use the wide angle lens, I typically zoom in just a bit from 18mm, I'd say...

YES! Exactly....this is why I mentioned wanting to stick to 67mm threads.
