I bought this one because it was metal. The cheaper ones were plastic. I also bought glass lenses instead of plastic ones. ;)

  6. Re: Which first Rear Movement and Asymmetrical Tilt Chamonix 45F2

Respectfully, I checked the focus after doing the tilt and it didn't move. No refocusing was necessary on my Chamonix 45H-1. Which asymmetrical camera did you try that required refocusing?
  7. Re: Which first Rear Movement and Asymmetrical Tilt Chamonix 45F2

Mark, That's not correct. No secondary focusing has to be done with asymmetrical tilts. That's the whole point of them.

The line on the ground glass is in the same position as the hinge on the...

Re: New here and looking for lens advice

Consider filters. If you use them or will, you want to get filters for the largest size lens. Then use an adapter to fit the filter on the smaller-sized required lenses.

  22. Re: Is the obsession with analogue gearing an obstacle to art?

A perfectly clear picture of a fuzzy idea. If the photographer moved a foot to the left, the picture would be great, something no amount of darkroom or digital editing can help.

Eye fatigue is a problem. We adapt to what we look at for too long. One check is to view the histogram. If you do that, you can readily see the right space is empty.

Egads. Has anyone done that? With color you have to deal with color shifts as well. Might be easier with BW, but then wouldn't movements shift the falloff areas forcing you to somehow move around...
