Poll: Re: Poll 2019: Age at last birthday

Last birthday was a measly 23 for me. I got into large format in what I felt like was a natural progression. Started with my dad's old 35mm camera, then found myself a Pentax 67ii, then the fateful...

    Hello, friends of photography!

My job has me traveling by air weekly. I am always on the road, it seems! Because of this, most of my shooting happens in cities where I work. I’m forever...

    Hello, all,

My local camera Guru let me borrow a lens to try out before I bought it and he has no idea what exactly it is. I didn't know "wheel stop" (if thats even the proper term) existed before...

Wetplate - Where to go from here?

    Hello, community,

I just recently shot my very first tintypes. I used to bostick & sullivan starter kit and much to my joy I've gotten a semi-decent picture every time. My collodion pouring is...

We got hit with the eye in CF but I live in a third floor apartment so I wasn't concerned about flooding. Now what the fun part was was after the storm but still in the very strong wind gusts, I went...

Re: Where to put filters in my new Beseler 45M

Hey, gang, just an update! I did end up just cutting the filters to fit in the drawer I have. It works plenty and doesn't affect image at all. I made little paper holders for them that work...

    Re: Not enough exposure time

My lamp is an incandescent lamp with a white coating. As per the manual, beseler calls for a 150w lamp! The light from the enlarger at working height through my 135mm lens and the grade 2 filter onto...

    Re: Not enough exposure time

This lens has no such release for the aperture, but I did check just in case! Though it's very precievibly darker at f32 than it is at f4.5. My question I guess would be, how dark should it be? My...

    Re: Not enough exposure time

I tested to see if it was my safelight earlier. I let a piece of paper sit exposed to the safelight for a few minutes and developed it. Pearly white!

That tells me it's not my safelight or paper....

  19. Re: Exposing a gray scale for Zone System calibration

  20. Re: Exposing a gray scale for Zone System calibration
