    Re: November 2019 Portraits

I believe the portrait you speak of was made by Gary Samson & not Charles. Charles did a "reply w/ quote" which sometimes copies the photo being commented on.

    BTW I agree with the"Excellent...

    Re: Harman Direct Positive Images

Maybe try using a paper developer like Dektol & remember you can develop under proper safe light so you can pull it at full development but not over developed.. That is one of the great things about...

Re: Identify shutter cable release end

Many older shutters had this squared off female/male release threads like the Wollensak/Ilex shutters including Studio shutters. That would be my best guess and have MANY older style shutters that...

  9. Re: Compur Electronic 3 shutter - what could go wrong?

I assume you know this is not going to be a direct fit so are you going to cut & machine the threads your own tubes and if not are you sending them to SK Grimes? If your sending them off you may want...

    Re: FUJINON W 125mm F/5.6 EBC Lens

All good information but I would say as close as our serial #'s are it's a SAFE bet it's 52mm and made probably in the same run. BTW I have the lens on my lap at this moment.

    Re: FUJINON W 125mm F/5.6 EBC Lens

    If it's the same as my model it's 52mm. serial # 592389

The last/latest version of their plasmat went up to 62mm across a large number of focal lengths but this made the shorter FL much larger in...

    Re: Nikkor M 450 F9 - Question

I doubt that you'll have an easy time doing head/head & shoulders with this long a FL and this camera as you'll be at around full extension at those close focus range.

This one really works for me Peter! Great image!

BTW Fine use of the lens & looks as if it's sans strainer.

PS The two Imagon images you posted directly before are compelling as well.

  36. Re: Verito 14.5 inch Lens: Studio Shutter

Do you use a long throw cable release (Gepe/older Prontor)? You MUST use a long throw release for the plunger to have enough throw to push the blades all the way to f4.
