Hard to answer your question without knowing what lenses you plan on using and for what purpose but if you like wide angle lenses then a Fotoman 45PS would be an option definitely worth considering....

Robert, thanks too for your review of the Chamonix 45-N1......
Any Chamonix camera users in or near Sydney?
Particularly interested in seeing a Chamonix 45-N1 in the flesh... but would also be interested to see if anyone has the 5x8 or 8x10 models.
OK well...
Would be great to hear from any actual 5x7 XL users out there and their experiences with this camera... anyone?

Easily confirmed (or not) if you can find someone with the Nikkor f8 120mm who is willing to mount it and measure the image circle at f16 (and f22) and see if it matches your quoted figures. Good...
I seem to remember reading somewhere (sorry can't provide a link) that Nikkor large format lenses image circle is measured at f16 and not f22 as are Schneider lenses.
Perhaps someone out there...

Apparently not all SA 90mm...
Were many of these lenses made without the removable rear flange.... would I be incredibly unlucky to end up with one? Why I ask is that I know of one for sale but am unable to see it in the flesh...
Does anyone know from what serial number onwards does the Schenider Super Angulon 90mm XL have the removable rear flange?
Hope I haven't missed a previous thread that has covered this but I have...
