Re: Use 4x5 Beseler for smaller film?

Alan, My MXT came with a socket head glued onto the knob, so i just insert a ratchet handle and it makes for easy focusing without the big expense.

Re: Use 4x5 Beseler for smaller film?

Miket, the 45MXT is a reliable workhorse. I use one with a Zone VI VC head for formats up to 4x5. I've got 50, 80, 105, 150 lenses. For large prints from MF as well as 4x5 & 5x7 I use my Durst 138...

Re: Chamonix 57N + Technika Lens Board

  22. Re: Fujinon C 450mm F/12 .5 (or another) to replace Fujinon T 400mm F/8 for Lightweig

Just to stray back towards the original post. The Fuji 400T weighs 700grams..... the 450 C weight 270 grams. Neither will break your back. 700grams is a pound and a half (ish).... if you need/like...

  39. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

You're right Bob..... I meant make a print or have a print made. Not an 8' x3' print made..... but small (8"x10") sectional prints.... BUT portions at high magnification.
  40. Re: Which of my 5 LF lenses are worth keeping or worth upgrading?

Here's another option Alan, if you find it difficult to decide, when looking at the negative or tranparency with a loupe, make a few sectional prints. Rack your enlarger to large print...
