Yes. From their Indiegogo years ago. Been meaning to shoot it for a long time but never knew what I wanted to do with it.
I really like the spinning tree / ferris wheel.
Here's two shots from Atlanta's iconic Jackson Street Bridge, over the recently renamed "John Lewis" Freedom Parkway. Super quick DSLR scans while...
That's all that needed said. A good number of photographers think perspective is a property of the lens, and one can see the abuse of wide-angle lenses frequently online by hobbyist photographers...
Interesting! I will PM you Randy!
Thanks! I didn't expect 1mm. I was wondering if that large of a pinhole was practical. I found a supplier on eBay and might order a few pinholes at 0.6 and 1mm and figure out a mounting system.
Of course there are practical concerns, like cliffs or what have you. My impression from the previous discussion is cropping, say, a 90mm lens to a 115mm FoV. This is very little change. Of course,...
I have no idea why you are responding to my post regarding misconceptions about perspective vs. lens choice as if I said something about the use or usefulness of longer lenses. Nothing I wrote has...
This is incorrect. Perspective is only changed by positioning of the camera. This misconception comes from the inherent moving of the camera when switching lenses to match framing/composition of the...
I only have one suggestion: GET CLOSER!
"If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough” - Robert Capa
This is the single most important tip when shooting with a 90mm lens IMO.
Looks good Randy! What was the pinhole size?
I've been wanting to try pinhole for extreme wide-angle on ULF. My one try resulted in underexposure because I calculated something wrong. I would want...
I also shot this on Efke which retained highlight detail, but I'm not sure that is really a necessary thing for this image. Thoughts? Here's the Efke shot, and a slightly tighter crop:

Thanks. I was worried there wasn't enough in the foreground to be interesting. I guess not?
On a technical note - I thought I overdeveloped this Efke film but it retains highlight detail like no...
Yeah it was interesting, the line of cypress was in about an inch of water, with some high spots of sand and bivalve shells. Exposure was about 1/4 second IIRC and I waited till a wave broke over the...
On the shore of the Walter F. George Reservoir, in George T. Bagby State Park (that's a mouthful). I recently got a little mini tripod that has a max height of about 12 inches, and can easily splay...

Here's my opinion as someone who has shot well north of 1000 sheets of T-Max 100, and a lot of Delta as well: T-Max RS is a real PITA to use. If you are not dead-on with your time and technique you...
Thank you jerrybro.
I've never been up top. The elevator was being repaired or renovated IIRC and so it was closed. Last time I was in DC was during July 4th and it was a madhouse.

I always enjoy the shimmering reflections in the water at sunset. This was taken late in the day at Lake Trahlyta in Vogel State Park.

Thank you both! It is indeed Spanish Moss in the trees, but you may be interested to know that the foreground is not Yuccas, though we do occasionally have those around these parts. These are saw...
Yes that is what I said Drew. I believe the confusion comes from the fact that most people have experience with 35mm (or 120) SLRs or modern DSLRs and there are not center filters for those lenses...
No they don't, if we are talking about modern retrofocus designs. Sure, the 21mm Biogon for Contax 35mm rangefinder has the same basic fall-off characteristics of the 75mm Biogon on 4x5, but the...
I definitely get a variety of PM's and direct emails from "lurkers" or very low participation members about different things. I got a ton of emails after I organized a group buy (after closing it)...
Well, as an interesting data point, the forum says that:
Most users ever online was 12,386, 19-Oct-2020 at 20:31.
The most users ever were online just a few months ago, so that's an encouraging...
I have displayed plates mounted directly to wood. Including old barn wood that was most certainly not "archival" ;).
For protective purposes, I have mounted plexiglass over the plate using bolts...
1. Retrofocus design (SLR, due to mirror constraint) vs. non-retro ~symmetrical design (RF / LF) PS: they do have fall-off that is corrected by stopping down, due to mechanical vignetting, just like...
Dan, don't most modern wide-angles use the tilting pupil design? Glancing at a couple of my lenses, they all seem to have it to an extent (compared to my actual 75mm Biogon).
Of course they exist for a reason. And of course one should use them if they are really, really worried about even illumination.
Whilst I often shoot at f/22, or beyond, I also don't mind shooting...
Caleb, you were asking for part numbers and specifics.
Anyway, don't need to derail this any further.
LOL
Well the 12x20 certainly causes a new problem in that regard! Current solution: carrying the camera and one film holder inserted into the back in one hand, tripod in the other, rather small...
I'm afraid I'm not as selfless as Linus Torvalds. It does not benefit me to release complete design documentation. I also need to either learn or contract out software development and consider design...
It's just a light, you still need a negative or digital carrier system like I've designed. It doesn't display images.
Edit: I spent some time looking for spectrum information, and other data on...
Nearby there, I'll message you.
There's no need for that. IMO.
HMG, my design is using the original heads, so I can do color as well - at least in theory as I still haven't tested the actual workability of this. His solution is just an app for use on any device...
Hmm. Wish he lived somewhat close. With my little homebrew digital enlarger, some tweaking to his system, and a full-spectrum LED light I actually could build a complete digital enlarger system that...
Today I went out to a remote and not very well-known archaeological site, where a Native American settlement from around 1000 A.D. is located. There's a lot of mystery and rumors around this site,...
